Glassware

Presentation makes all the difference.

Glassware comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors. The following types and styles of glassware are commonly used behind a standard bar. Most glassware that is used behind the bar is toughened, meaning that it will resist the odd bump or scratch, but at the expense of a fine, delicate drinking vessel. The finer the rim of a glass, the more aeration your drink will receive, thus making drinking a more pleasant experience and allowing the flavours of your drink to really shine. If you can afford it, using crystal at home will certainly heighten your drinking experience, and on the rare occasion you find a bar where they are using crystal glasses, don’t tell anyone where it is.
