MEET TYLER MITCHELL

Tyler Mitchell is an acclaimed artist, photographer, and filmmaker based in Brooklyn. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2017. Mitchell’s work introduces new narratives about beauty and desire, embracing history while creating fictionalized moments for an imagined future. 

Mitchell’s work is held in numerous private and public collections, including but not limited to The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA); the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, Washington, DC; the National Portrait Gallery, London; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the High Museum of Art, Atlanta; and the Brooklyn Museum. 

Mitchell’s photography has been widely published in magazines, including Vogue UK, Vogue US, Dazed, i-D, AnOther Magazine, Interview Magazine, M Le Monde, Vanity Fair, GQ, Aperture, W Magazine, WSJ, and Zeit Magazin. He has collaborated commercially with prominent brands such as Loewe, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Ferragamo, Wales Bonner, and JWAnderson.
